From the MD

As we look back on 2012 and beginning of 2013 we consider the achievements of the company.

In 2012, Mecrus successfully opened Australia's fourth largest Mushroom facility in Regional Victoria, offering employment opportunities for 80 local residents. The facility itself currently produces an average of 50 tonnes per week, however its infrastructure has been designed to readily enable the facility to be expanded to a planned capacity of 100 tonnes per week.

Beyond Parwan Valley Mushrooms, Mecrus is striving to extend the production and export prosperity of Victoria through Mineral exploration and the continuing operation of the Morwell Briquette Factory.

Mecrus Resources is continuing to expand and extend its exploration activities with the addition of our first Petroleum Exploration Permit. Although still in the early stages of exploration and licence granting, Mecrus is striving to discover the hidden resources throughout Victoria.

Mecrus is also pleased to announce our two millionth tonne of briquettes produced, set to be reached at the end of February 2013. With the ability for Mecrus to produce briquettes being seen as non-viable, this achievement is an outstanding effort by all involved.

The commitment of Mecrus in striving to capture goals has seen our company achieve great things in 2012, which we hope to continue throughout 2013.
