Mecrus company formed (August)

2000

Won contract with HRL for operation and maintenance of 2 x 30MW boiler plant delivering steam to Murray Goulburn at Leongatha

2001

Commenced contract for maintenance services at Burra Foods

Maintenance contract for Olex Cables

2003

Mecrus restructured its business to focus on four industry sectors of energy, mining and resources, food and beverage and water

Food and Beverage Division established to supply resources to Fosters Group, Mildura Fruit Juices and Southcorp

2004

Mecrus Technical Solutions Group established supplying asset management resources into industry in areas of engineering, maintenance management systems and planning and scheduling

Won contract with Energy Brix, Morwell Victoria for operation and maintenance of coal delivery plant delivering 100% coal supply reliability to power station

Commenced reinstatement works on Energy Brix briquette factory after significant damage from a major fire on Boxing Day 2003

Started production of brown coal briquettes from Morwell facility under a lease, operate and maintain contract

Water Division established with the acquisition of Australian Groundwater Technology and Desalin8

2006

Mining and Resources Division established a formal agency agreement with German bulk materials handling equipment designer FAM. Commenced tendering for design, manufacture and erection of bulk materials handling equipment in the Australian mining industry

Commenced operation of Barooga Bottling facility

2007

MECRUS wins Business Gippsland Award for Manufacturing

2008

Received a Commercial Ready grant from the Australian Government for refinement of the Desalin8 process.

First shipment of briquettes to China

Awarded contract with the Ports Corporation of Queensland to design, build and commission four stacker reclaimers

2009

MECRUS Pty Ltd wins operations and maintenance contract for their first Cogeneration facility at Symex in Port Melbourne

MECRUS Pty Ltd wins Business Gippsland Award for Manufacturing

MECRUS Resources division established to undertake rare mineral exploration

2010

ABPF achieved the filling of 90 shipping containers for export in a single week

Desaln8 wins the Monash Business Award for Innovation

MECRUS Resources wins first mineral exploration license for area EL5196 (Benalla region) and commences the exploration process

2011

Mecrus further increases mineral exploration

FAMQ Pty Ltd achieves practical completion of the Ports Corporation of Queensland project for the design, build and commission of four stacker reclaimers

2012

Parwan Valley Mushrooms facility opens

Mecrus Resources secures first PEP (Petroleum Exploration Permit)

Mecrus commits to the Australian Mineral Industry's Enduring Value Framework for Sustainable Development

2013

Mecrus Resources is granted three Exploration Licenses (EL5119, EL5256, and EL5257) in Gippsland, and one (EL5297) in the Otway Basin

2014

Mecrus is awarded by the Environment Protection Authority (EPA)

2015

Mecrus Resources renews Exploration License EL5196 for a further five years
